Hear, Don't Look Courses
Hear, Don't Look is my listening-first method for developing musical instincts instead of relying on visual shortcuts. The more you rely on your eyes, the less you train your ears — this method trains them on purpose.
It's built on four pillars:
1. Ear Challenges — proving what trained ears can do, live, with no visual reference.
2. Eye Habits, Called Out — naming the visual habits most musicians lean on without realising it.
3. Busting Myths — picking apart production and piano "rules" that only hold up visually, not by ear.
4. Build Your Ears — simple, repeatable exercises so listening becomes automatic.
This matters because most musicians never train their ears on purpose. Tools like meters, waveforms and sheet music are useful, but when the ear only ever confirms what the eye already decided, the ear never actually gets trained. Hear, Don't Look puts listening back in the lead.
